Piles – Also Known as Anorectal Hemorrhoids
Piles are hemorrhoids that become inflamed. Hemorrhoids are masses, clumps, cushions of tissue in the anal canal – they are full of blood vessels, support tissue, muscle and elastic fibres.Piles can be of various sizes and may be internal (inside the anus) or external ones (outside the anus). Typically, internal piles occur from 2 to 4cm above the opening of the anus. External piles (perianal hematoma) occur on the outside edge of the anus. The internal ones are much more common.
An anal fistula is a small tunnel that develops between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus (where poo leaves the body).
The anal canal is a short tube surrounded by muscle at the end of your rectum. The rectum is the bottom section of your colon (large intestine). An anal fissure (also called fissure-in-ano) is a small rip or tear in the lining of the anal canal.
Apart from surgical procedures, there are many alternate medical solutions for curing piles, fistula and fissure. There are many knowledgeable and reliable traditional medicine practitioners who treat and cure these conditions.
